The rapid increase in precision, speed and performance of machines designed for the emerging consumer sectors, electronics, medicine or science generates constant challenges for companies with a need to develop processes or products to enable their manufacture in a mature fashion.
The Science industry is a veritable solutions laboratory that is swiftly being recovered by other sectors to later go on to form part of our everyday landscape. We believe that being able to withstand the challenges of Science is a good way of attaining its industrial derivatives as a technological leader, therefore earning a major share in the new markets generated.
The lines being developed in this area range from new welding processes to new systems concepts. Advanced manufacture cross-cutting technologies such as machining process monitoring, aerostatic technology, microscopy and on-machine measurement are also another area that we are researching and developing as a competitiveness factor for our future production operations.
DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW CONCEPT OF QUADRANT OR HALF-BASED ACCELERATING STRUCTURES FOR CLIC LINEAR COLLIDER – 4ACCEL – IDC-20101102
This project involved the development and validation by DMP of several configurations of one of the key components of the future CLIC accelerator. DMP, in direct collaboration with CERN, became one of the three companies certified for the manufacture of these components, which require roughness of 10 nm and sub-mircron shape errors..
